Find the missing side of a right triangle, plus area, perimeter, and angles
For any right triangle, the square of the hypotenuse equals the sum of squares of the two legs. The calculator works in reverse too, finding a missing leg given the hypotenuse and the other leg.
a² + b² = c²
a, bthe two legs (sides adjacent to the right angle)cthe hypotenuse (side opposite the right angle)For a right triangle with legs a and b and hypotenuse c: a² + b² = c². It works only for right triangles (those with one 90° angle).
Given the hypotenuse c and one leg a, find the other leg: b = √(c² - a²). Given both legs, find the hypotenuse: c = √(a² + b²).
(3, 4, 5), (5, 12, 13), (8, 15, 17), (7, 24, 25), and any integer multiples of these. They give integer sides with no square roots needed.
