Welch's unequal-variance t-test from summary statistics (Welch-Satterthwaite df, exact two-tailed p from the t distribution). It assumes independent observations and roughly normal data, or reasonably large groups. Significance stars: * p under .05, ** p under .01, *** p under .001. Statistical significance is not the same as practical importance; report an effect size as well.
